The Walther PP: The Autoloader That Changed Everything

In 1929, Fritz Walther got the world’s attention with his 8-shot magazine, .32 ACP, Model PP autoloader, which could be safely carried fully loaded and in a state of instant readiness, just like a revolver. The safety/decocker lever created a double-action/single-action (DA/SA) where the first shot trigger weight was 13-14 pounds and subsequent shots to an accuracy-enhancing SA pull of about 3-4 pounds.
